Problem: We forgot to produce and sell
While in addition to large-scale agriculture and large-scale industry, even for those involved in it, gardening and craft activities need to be “just” re-learned, commercial skills need to be acquired from the ground up.
Develop communities!
There is a growing number of communities in many parts of Western Europe that have set themselves up to connect producers who are able to produce good quality local produce and are often willing to pay a very high price for it. Community development is a matter of life and death in this case, as producers alone cannot compete with highly capital-intensive large farms. The “Local Community, Local Products” initiative works to create such communities in a Central European environment as well.
These bring a number of benefits to the local community: a successful local brand helps sell local products; it creates a tourist attraction and even a tourism service can become an iconic local product; local products become part of the identity and strengthen the local community, the foundations of community development. The positive effects of local products are spread by diffusion, followed by other producers, following the example of the first samplers, and thus a real community creation is finally produced. In Hungary, there are a number of manuals or descriptions that convey legal and regulatory knowledge, the purpose of which is to provide information to farmers, small producers, primary producers, and to service providers and artisans in parentheses, but in a visible way.
The goal is a lot of profit!
The “Local Community, Local Products” initiative, led by the Field Guard Circle, aims to support the creation of such local productive communities by developing a new and innovative service. The innovativeness of the service is given by its approach: they show the possibilities of how to really sell these products in the market for a lot of money. To this end, a package has been developed that allows anyone to embark on community development. All this in order to make local production not only a source of survival, a supplement to income, but one of the possible ways to become rich.
The main primary target group of the program is the local communities within which some actors are currently or potentially engaged in or experimenting with the production and marketing of traditional or new local products. By learning about the activities of such communities (and some craftsmen), he conducts research for the benefit of those in similar shoes in order to preserve and catch up with local communities.

The result of the initiative is an innovative one: the creation of recommendations and methodological descriptions that provide information and practical guidance to stakeholders and practitioners to develop their own local product.
Descriptions of good practices showcase successful local products and services and their development process, highlighting key success factors and lessons learned
